Ways to Renew Yourself This Spring

Spring is a season that represents renewal. It is the time of year when the trees begin to grow again. They blossom and bloom with leaves and flowers that energize our bodies. Rain is also a factor of spring that represents renewal. It washes away all of the mud and muck that was associated with winter so that the ground becomes green, refreshed, and ready to grow.
This season is also the time when cleaning inside is done. Spring cleaning is a great way to revitalize the inside of your home so that you can have a bright, clean home for the coming months. Being a spiritual person, you are also going to want to renew yourself and make your mind, body, and soul feel rejuvenated. Let’s explore some ways that you can make this happen.
1. Cherish Natural Beauty
The world around you is full of things that have a natural beauty to them. Make the time to visit some of the parks around your home. Take in the beauty of the trees, the flowers, and the animals that live there. If you see an animal in your path, take the time to stop and appreciate how beautiful it is. Doing this with the season change is a great way to add layers of meaning to your life.
2. Detoxify
When you detox, your body has the chance to get rid of the toxins that have been storing in your system all winter. Detoxifying your body is a great way to renew your energy and get clarity on the world around you.
3. Tend to Your Plants
Plants are a symbol of renewal as well; so when spring hits, it is beneficial to spend some time with your plants. Prune them, water them, and even talk to them a bit to encourage their growth this spring as well as your own. You can also spend some time creating a garden; it will help you appreciate the way that fruits and vegetables grow.
4. Meditate Outdoors
When the air is warm and fresh in the spring months, there is nothing more relaxing and rejuvenating than taking a bit of time to meditate outdoors. If you truly want to touch the earth, then try walking meditation.
5. Meet New Friends
Meeting new friends is always a great way to refresh yourself. It gives you a new perspective; a fresh point of view, and a chance to learn more about others who live in the same neighborhood as you. If you see your neighbors when you are outdoors, ask them their name, invite them over for tea, and help the friendship blossom.
6. Uncloud Your Vision
Sometimes it is difficult to see the growth of the individual tree because the forest is too large. When your vision is clouded, it is more difficult to function. Whether this is a spiritual vision, a psychic block that you are feeling, or you simply need to clean the windows in your home, once your vision is clear, you will feel rejuvenated and ready to take on life.
7. Avoid Electronics
When you have a lot of electronics in your life, it is easy to lose touch with the vibrations of the earth. To renew this connection, try to stay clear of electronics for a day. Don’t use your computer, tablet, or cell phone. Keep the television and the radio turned off. Don’t even cook for the day or use electricity. Staying in touch with the natural cycles of nature will help you feel refreshed; in fact, you may even find yourself waking up with the morning light feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
8. Let Go of Unclean Things
This does not mean that you have rotten banana peels in your home; it simply means that you have negative emotions or feelings that are rotting your soul. One of the best things to do this spring is clear away all of the resentments and the hurt that you are holding. Let go of the grudges that are hindering your friendships and start the season new with fresh seeds that can grow into something beautiful.
9. Read a Book
Books are a relaxing way to help you focus your mind. Reading is not often done in a peaceful environment that can focus your senses, so try it. Read outside in nature, breathe in the fresh air, and you will feel refreshed.
10. Experience a Weekend Retreat
Take some time to yourself to reset your mind, body, and soul. Being indoors all winter can create unbalance in your life, so you will need to find that balance again when spring arrives. One way to do this is to take a spiritual retreat into the woods for the weekend to experience nature. Take in all that the earth has to teach you, meditate on it, and when your journey is finished, your spirit guide will give you a sign.
